We are a new lab, interested in the evolution of organellar mechanics within the green lineage.
We want to understand how differences in mechanical properties and signaling in organelles contribute to the diversity of their morphologies and functions. For specific projects see here.
To ask evolutionary questions, we work with multiple plant species, moss Physcomitrum patens (our primary model), the flowering plant Arabidopsis thaliana, green alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, and more in the future (let us know what is your favorite plant model system).
